Heya, I'm Allikitti!
Right off the bat, I don't know if I'll be using Dreamwidth often. From what I've seen so far, I'm still not sure if cringe furry ageplay kinksters like me are gonna find a decent niche on this site. But I'll still hang around and see.
If I do use this site for anything in the future, it'll probably be to catalogue my character bios and worldbuilding antics. Maybe even a few story quickies in the future. But that material will probably be very Strange and Weird to folks outside of the kinky furry scene. So, heads-up?
Otherwise, I do like reading. So I'll probably enjoy Dreamwidth as more of a passive observer for now.

Those are good uses. Dreamwidth is very flexible and can be put to diverse purposes. Browse around and you'll see many different types of blogs and posts here.

That's okay. Dreamwidth is reasonably kink-friendly. You can use cuts, filters, or other tools to hide things that may not be to everyone's taste. It's your blog. You can do whatever you want with it. In case anyone fusses, you also have privacy and moderation tools to get them out of your fur.

It is totally fine to read and lurk for a while. That's a good way to get a feel for the platform. Feel free to drop by my blog and watch; I have a pretty diverse and tolerant audience.

on 2024-10-03 09:19 pm (UTC)Learning a new platform is a lot of work. I suggest that you start with one of the novice communities because they can explain a lot of things that will save you time and headaches.
Look for other chosters and see what they're doing; probably you will find things you'd like to join.
Explore one community at a time for a day or few. That'll make it easier to learn their parameters instead of mixing up half a dozen at once, especially if you alternate topics through the week.
